Resetting entire Mixed In Key 5 Library

Hey guys,

I've been piling up music on my hard drive for years now. 63,468 songs later, I've decided it's time to take a full month and re-organize/categorize/re-key all of my music. I'd like to use the "rewrite key into comment section" option, but realized Mixed In Key 5 already recognizes the files as completed. Any way I can easily reset my Mixed In Key library? Whenever I try to mass-delete more than 20 tracks out of my library at once Mixed In Key crashes.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for posting, I am happy to help. Can you please tell us what version of Mixed In Key and what operating system you are using?

I'm having a similar problem, I just did the initial scan of all my tracks through MIK and then I opened up Serato and realized that I like the way that it looks when the tempo and key is displayed in the comments section as opposed to just the key.

how do i rescan my tracks in MIK so that the comments section in serato displays the tempo and key values together?

I figured it out when I came across Chad's reply on another thread like this Nov 7, 2011 (Only works for Mac OSX, though):

Hi,

Thanks for posting the crash log, that really helps. Please go to the \YOURUSERNAME\Library\Application Support\Mixed In Key folder. Delete the Collection5.mikdb file and your collections should be deleted.

Cheers,
Chad P
