I'm just here to report that I am having issues loading the plugin in the AKai MPC software V2.2 .
Every now and then it crashes, which renders it completely useless for anyone on this platform.

If it was up to me, I would develop the plugin additionally as a "Stand Alone" instrument/Software, maintaining the drag drop Midi Feature.

I'm not sure how exactly you would get around to doing this but I cant imagine it being that much of a hurdle as most HOST's nowadays allow Midi files to be dragged and dropped from Desktop/Finder straight into the Hosts Live session.

By doing this it would also overcome the issues most people are having with loading/crashing. Allowing them to still use the plugin (even though it may be limited in this sense) as a standalone/software.

They did. Its called Odesi. And having it as a standalone impedes workflow.
Thats why they developed it as a vst.
My DAW grabs teh ASIO and uses it exclusively, so a standalone external program wont even get soundcard access.
