We're working on having a perfect Copy/Paste function. In the next free update, you'll be able to split segments, move them around, loop them, etc.
This feature has already been implemented. You can cut/copy/paste by selecting the audio segment you want to work with and using the keyboard shortcuts for cut/copy/paste in your OS

меня вот тоже этот вопрос интересует, ибо потратив такую сумму на программу и увидев в ней просто детскую игрушку я огорчился немного, надеюсь её будут усовершенствовать и эти обновления будут бесплатны в дальнейшем, а то я начинаю делать в машапе а заканчиваю в аблтоне.

Aleks, we are going to improve Mashup substantially over the next several years. I think you'll love the 2.0 upgrade, which will be free.

Отлично!! Спасибо!!! Я Вам с радостью помогу чем смогу! Хотелось бы иметь возможность менять размер сетки, потому что при увеличении сетка крупная и отрезать клип так как необходимо, не получается. И думаю варпинг не помешал бы, с акапеллой сложно работать.
после последнего обновления для windows программа перестала запускаться. выдаётся какая-то ошибка во весь экран. перезапуск и программы и системы не помогает. такая проблема как на windows 7 так и на windows 8.

Latest versions are 1.5 for Windows and Mac.

Try to select a piece of an audio wave, then Ctrl + C to copy, and Ctrl + V to paste it.
hello . i just recently purchased this software. i was hoping it does more then it showed on the video. i know you guys are working hard at this and i am sure it is not easy to add stuff. I would love for you guys to add some features that i can actually work with. For example here are a few:
if i have a song and i split a 30 second segment and delete the rest of the song. i would like to be able to select each end of this 30 sec sample and and extend more of the song. what i mean is that maybe i realize that 30 sec was not enough and i want to add an other 5 sec continuity from each end. i can't do it as it is right now. the only option i have is selecting it and moving it around. this sample is still 30 sec long. if i want to add 5 more seconds i would have to reload the whole song. find where i started and then split it all over again with 35 sec this time. this is annoying and time consuming when i want to do it to more then one sample. This would help if i cutoff a 20 sec segment and i want to place it back.
Also, if i split a segment and then i want to join it together i can't. I will have to reload the whole song. Could you add a "join" option? This features are found in Sony's acid pro. since this program will deal with a lot of focusing in cut samples those option would greatly improve it.
Could you also not restrict me moving my sample only between grids (snap to grid movement). if i am trying to match off grid, i'll have to use the phase buttons to shift left or right. I would like to just be able to mouse over a sample and grab it and freely shift left or right with my mouse as i am holding the sample. it is annoying to sit there and click the phase buttons. Don't get me wrong. i love that option. it is helpful to move with more accuracy if it is close to the other song's beat i am trying to match. but if i want to shift a far distance it is time consuming.
i believe that it was mentioned before but could you also add an option to change its song's width shape of the analysis shape? If i add more then 3-4 songs i can't see them all in the screen. i have to scroll up and donw each time when i work on the envelopes. I know that by allowing me to shrink down its width will not let me see the shape of the wave analyzed well but it is an option i am okay with.
Again, I love the concept of this software and i would like to get my money worth. Please don't take my criticism in a bad way. i just thought those options would've been with the software included already. I hope you guys are able to provide those option soon. If you are already working in an of this please post here so i can read it.

Please say you're including the ability to change tempos independently anywhere instead of being 'locked-in' to the master tempo?!...
Just so there's no confusion, I specifically mean being able to make a "selection" anywhere and then altering it's BPM independent of & without affecting the BPM of the rest of the track(s) or mix/mashup. Is this even feasible?

Additionally, it might be useful to switch tracks from row to row in the timeline...
It would avoid starting a mash up, or mix from scratch if you decide that mix between track 02 and 03 is not satisfactory (for example)
Other feature that might be interesting is to classify the tracks by BPM i.s.o. only by alphabetical order...
Just a thought...

Not at this time, but this feature is on our requests list.
You state that this has been implemented but I cannot figure it out. Can you post some steps on how to copy and paste, or delete 1 or 2 bars of an individual track (so the two tracks could match up together perfectly)? Thanks.

Is there an effects module or plug-in? It would be nice to add reverb, flanger etc.
It's possible that we will add something like this to the 2.0 version.

But can you start your copy from ANY part of the wavelength? Right now I get forced to certain area CLOSE to where my insertion point is but not exactly where it is.
Due to the way that beatmatching works in Mashup selections are locked to the beat. If you need more detail in your cuts, cut a little more than you need and fade in or out with the volume envelope. We will look into making this more efficient in the next update.
Will their mashup are in better quality? waves in my traktor not actually come out like embers to 320, compared to other issues that I have original. regards
It sounds like you are equating audio quality with volume, which isn't really related. Either way this doesn't have anything to do with copy/paste so please start a new thread.
Hi Yakov & the team, I know this might be a bit cheeky but is there any chance of getting a trial version or a short term activation of Mashup? I have been using MIK & PN since Jan 2008 and really would be lost without them. So without doubt if Mashup is as good as your previous software offerings then I am sure I will purchase it........it's just that I would like to give it a little blast first. Any clues as to when Mashup v 2.0 will be coming out? I love Mashup but it still has some cumbersome issues which have been elaborated on the community site. iPad upgrade is nice, when will we see some of these same upgrades for Mac/Win users? -D
The iPad version doesn't have anything that isn't in the desktop version. We have about a dozen things to add to Mashup 2.0, but we decided at a recent team meeting to release the upgrade as soon as possible with the most important upgrade - plugin support. We're already well on our way to completing this feature, and are using plugins with the in-house builds already. Once that is released we will continue working on the app, with improvements in collections management and timeline workflow and UI behavior updates coming in a second free update.
Great....cannot wait... plugin support sounds like a step up, UI behavior definitely will look forward too. I guess the artwork merge on Ipad is what I was alluding too, that is nice for getting your mix out on social media etc. Thanks for the update :-)

Just bought this software, version 1.5.2. Its a great piece of software! But I have two feature requests
1) A greater range of volume per track. If everything is at 100%, and then I drop something in thats too quiet, I can't make it louder than 100%. It would be nice to be able to boost the gain more, instead of making everything else in the entire project quiter.
2) More robust timeline cutting. I would love to be able to make more fine cuts in a track for looping, and to be able to drag out the beginning and end of tracks after I've made a cut in them. That might take more explanation. If I have a track thats 30 second long, then cut it down the middle and delete everything after 15 seconds, but then decide I want 5 seconds after the 15 seconds I have, I'd love to be able to click the edge of the track and drag out more of the original track. Kind of like how final cut works. Also, just the ability to splice a track and move pieces around more freely, across all the tracks so I don't have to take up 20 tracks.
